If I Talk to Her Tonight
| Pro | Con |
| she wakes up at 10:30 pm | that’s when I go to bed |
| I’ll get to hear all about her week | I’ll have to stay up |
| I’ll just set a few alarms, then | I’ve got work at 8:00 am |
| she’s doing so well, I’m so glad | My eyes are so dry |
| she’s settling into France | I’m settled into bed |
| her family’s doing well too, I asked | |
| oh, look, she’s made more art! | Pros |
| I’m so glad I got to see it | I missed her so much |
| and here comes the sunrise | I was awake to see the sunrise |
A poem about pulling a weekly all-nighter to talk to one of my best friends in the whole world, Kenzi, who is in France on her mission and whose P-day takes place from 10:30 pm to around 2:00 pm the next day for me. If I want to get a chance to talk to her, my window is from 11:00pm to 5:00 am. You’d better believe I’m taking it.
I’ve never regretted staying up.
